Murdoch & Barclay
~ Interactive picture frame selector

|
The heart of this
site is an Access database covering
the complete range of profiles and
finishes offered by this picture framer.
First we helped
them reorganise how they sort and categorise
their
product line, using unique codes to
search the database online by style,
size and finish.
Next we processed
over three hundred photograps of picture
frame corners ~ cropped and cleaned
up the backgrounds. Adding the over
140 different profiles gave our client
a complete, online catalogue.
Using the same images,
we also built a CD-based version which
has the added advantage of being able
to import a digital image to try out
the many frames on your own artwork. |
Military aircraft recognition
website

|
As part of a
computer graphics project for the
Australian
Army, Jeff put together two web-based
aircraft recognition practice websites.
The first consists
of all the military aircraft likely
to be active in our region.
It has profiles and outlines as seen
from the ground.
The second website
contains all the currently used Unmanned
Aerial Vehicles (UAV). These are one
of the fastest growing groups of aircraft,
used for surveilance in war zones.
Fitted with
video cameras, some are tiny helicopters
which can fly through buildings looking
for insurgents ~ while the pilot is
miles away in safety.
All
the images were sourced through extensive
internet searching,
many coming from JANES military website.
Ground-Based Air Defence (GBAD) soldiers
use the sites
to hone
their
skills ~ it's nice to know what you're
shooting at. |
